  • 1928 – 27th August – Opening of ‘The Rialto’ cinema
  • 1929 – Opening of the Rialto Cinema
  • 1931 – 26th to 31st January  – ‘Gracie Comes Whoam’
  • 1932 – Appointed ‘Life Governor’ of Rochdale infirmary
  • 1933 – 27th Feb to 4th March – ’Gracie Comes Again’
  • 1934 – 3rd to 8th December – ‘Hello! Here I Am Again!’
  • 1937 – 14th May – To be granted ‘Freeman of the Borough’
  • 1938 – Unveiling of ‘James Gunn’ portrait at ‘The Regal’ Cinema
  • 1941 – 14th July – First stop back in England since leaving for America in 1940
  • 1941 – (August) first concert back in Britain
  • 1943 – 19th August – Visit to Rochdale with Basil Dean
  • 1947 – 28th July – ‘Our Gracie’s Working Party’ from the Champness Hall
  • 1949 – Sunday 24th April
  • 1954 – Friday 22nd October – Plaque unveiled at Moulesworth Street, and appearance at Theatre Royal. Met King and Queen in Rochdale Town Hall.
  • 1954 – 24th November – Visited to see the destroyed Theatre Royal
  • 1956 – 29th October to 3rd November – ‘Week of Variety’
  • 1957 – Presented trophy to Rochdale Police on their Centenary
  • 1963 – 29th October – Opened Rochdale infirmary’s new outpatient department
  • 1970 – Opened Vitool Factory on site of her birth
  • 1978 – 16th September – The opening concert of the Gracie Fields Theatre
  • 1979 – 20th October – Memorial Service, Rochdale Parish Church
  • 1980 – 30th March – Tribute to Gracie Fields, at the GF Theatre
