Simon Reed (and a chap called David) from ‘Artful Logistics’ brought Gracie from the foundry in London and installed her on her plinth. Simon said ‘As a northern boy from Manchester it was a privilege to be involved with the first female statue in 100 years to be erected in the Greater Manchester region’.

It didn’t take long !!! Fans of the local rugby club ‘The Hornts’ climbing on the statue to celebrate something or other. Gracie did buy them their kits a few years back though, so I’m sure she’d be chuffed.
